The Tamagotchi

One upon a time, as all good stories start, there was a Mimitchi named Flora. Flora was happy with her owner, Kayla, until...

Kayla: What? We're going on vacation?!

Mom: Yes, we're camping in the woods. And that means no Timigootchi!

Kayla: It's a Tamagotchi Mom, and it'll die if I leave it alone

Mom: That's too bad

Flora: beeep beep beeeep *crying*

Kayla: *takes care of it* It's okay Flora don't cry. (low voice) I'll sneak you to the campground, okay.

Flora: *jumps up and down*

Mom: What did you just say Kayla?

Kayla: Nothing

When they got to the campground Kayla paused Flora and hid her in her pillow.

"You'll be okay here, Flora," Kayla said.

"Bip beep?" Flora said.

Kayla laughed. "You're saying, 'Really? This pillow is dirty. What if your mom washes it?' I don't think she will."

"Beep beep.... if you say so," Flora said. She was scared.

When Kayla left her mother thought she would wash the bedclothes.

"Kayla, I'm washing the bedclothes," her mom said.

She was standing right near the stream - and about to drop the bedclothes in it!

"No, don't do it mom!" Kayla screamed.

But she was too late. Her mom had already dropped them in.

Her little brother ran to her. His name was Tom.

"Did you see my sleeping bag, Kayla? I snuck my Tamagotchi out here and I put it there but...." Tom trailed off.

"Mom put our bedclothes in the stream to wash them," Kayla said and sighed.

"MIKA!!! My Mametchi!" Tom was screaming. He started crying.

"FLORA!!! My Tamagotchi is in the stream too," Kayla said.

"What do we do?" Tom cried frantically.

Kayla replied, "There's only one thing to do."

They ran toward the stream in hopes of seeing the Tamagotchis on the way.

No such luck.

They ran to the stream.

"There she is!" Tom pointed. His Tamagotchi was floating on the little wooden raft he'd had in the pillow too in case it rained.

"Mine's floating, too!" Kayla cried. Her Tamagotchi was floating on the wooden raft too.

"But.... hey! It's in the little plastic box! So if it goes under...." Tom said.

"Our Tamagotchis will be saved! You're a genius, Tom!" Kayla hugged him.

They grabbed their swimsuits and goggles.

"Let's go swimming!" Kayla cried, and they jumped in.

Tom grabbed his Tamagotchi 1996 P1. Kayla grabbed her Tamagotchi 1997 P2.

"Let's hightail it out of here! I'm freezing," Tom said.

They'd saved their Tamagotchis. But what would happen when Mom found out about that? And would she find out at all?
