Training your tama is easy. When it calls for your attention, even if it doesn't need anything, punish it. When you see it crying, or see its back turned toward you, praise it.

You're not a bad tama-grandma, just a little inexperienced. When my daughter gave me my first tama, I think he was about 5 years old before I figured out how the training thing works. After that, all of my generations have had full training bars by the age of 2 or 3.

It just takes a little practice. Training opportunities are easy to miss. Good luck!

Praise: if it's crying/has back turned to you.

Punish: if its calling at you for no reason, refuses to play even if it's over weight and if you see it laughing after you do present.
