That isn't a glitch, it happens when you take neglections.

The V5 families only change like that if there's something wrong with the way you are caring for them.

For example, if you are feeding them too much (and not playing games to reduce their weight) they evolve into the Sumo family.

The same applies to the Petite evolution. I think they were too light, that's why they changed

To change it back, feed it milk or show it a Magnifying Glass.

And no, it isn't a glitch.
