I like my little uratama, named her Tsukiko, which means something like moon-child. Currently a female toddler in the uramame group. YEAH!

Still, I have a few questions:

1. There's a way to generate a password for e-tamago on an uratama/entama, but I can't for the life of my figure it out. Do you know how?

2. Is there a way to pause the uratama/entama?

3. Can uratama's connect with my keitai?

Thanks, anyone who can help!

(1) If after reading through the topic "EnTama Cheat, Make up your own logout password", you still need help please post a specific question in a reply to that topic.

(3) If by "keitai" you mean "infra-red to cell phone", the answer is No. However if you mean "infra-red to KeiTama" (one of these: https://tamagotch.channel.or.jp/kaitsu/products.html ) then the answer is yes. Activate the connect icon (the heart in the top right of the screen) on the UraTama. You will see a couple of pages of menu items. Scroll down to KeiTama, and select it, then you should be able to connect.

connect menu page with 4 entries

UraTama

EnTama

DekaTama

KeiTama

... scroll down ...

connect menu page with 2 entries

PC / cell phone (in both cases, to a web page by user-entered login & logout codes)

TamaStation

... scrolling down from here takes you back up to the page with 4 entries ...

So, the uratama doesn't actually come with a code/password to get onto the site? The box advertises "Uratama town" and provides the appropriate https://e-tamago.com URL, so I figured there must be a password in the tamagotchi/in the instructions. I'll give it another look and see if maybe I missed a page in the instruction booklet.

And no, I meant my Japanese cell phone... I was told that some tamagotchi models could do it, but it's quite possible I misunderstood the Japanese. It seems likely that they were referring to the keitamas. I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask though, my cell phone does pretty much everything but cook dinner, so it wouldn't surprise me if it the uratama could interface with it. ^^;

Another question - how often do the Japanese tamagotchi models get produced/pulled from production? There were several dates advertised in the store for new releases, but only about ten Uratama models for sale.

I'm just curious as to how long these little guys are produced. It seems like there are so many that properly collecting could quickly get expensive.

Sorry, I totally misunderstood when you asked about how to get an e-tamago password. Yes, your UraTama can give you a password. The login passwords are generated on the fly. In the connect menu that I mentioned a couple of posts ago, select the PC option. You'll then get a login password for use on the Web page. There's some information in English about using the passwords on this web site https://www.pixelmood.com/entama_instructions.htm under the heading "connecting to the web site". The concept is the same for EnTama and UraTama, just be sure to click the UraTama Town link at e-tamago (or use this link https://e-tamago.com/urapc/flash/uratama.html ).

I've heard there is a pay web site you can access through the browser on your cell phone. I don't have a Japanese cell phone so I've never tried it, and I don't know which Tamagotchi models it works with. I think the instructions are available via a link at e-tamago (which opens this page https://e-tamago.com/pc/paysite.html )

It seems they release a new colour batch every 3 to 4 weeks or so. Some stores order many of them, so still have them for quite a while. Other stores order in only enough to last for a week or so, then go out of stock until the next release. Generally you can see all the released colours and patterns on Bandai's web page https://tamagotch.channel.or.jp/uratama/lineup.html
