Your tamagotchi has to be an adult to get a job. It gets offered jobs via the [!] mail. There are random jobs that your tamagotchi gets offered, and you have to have enough skills points to get the job. (About 50 per skill should do it)

Well, there are a few ways you can get skill points. One way you can get skill points is by playing the mini-games a lot. Another way is to take care of it well. If you take bad care of your tamagotchi, its skill points will drop. You also could take it to school before it gradutes. Mr. Turtle gives out intelligence, Ms flower gives out style, and Mr. Canvas gives kindness points. It should be about one day after your tamagotchi evolves. I hope I helped.
