No, it`s there so it can connect to the internet. It does connect to the internet bacause when you get a password to see the king, it only works when you use your username.

Sigh. There's never any active internet connection on your tamagotchi. Your tamagotchi does not have a modem nor is it capable of a wireless connection.

The antenna is hollow plastic. There for show. Nothing else.

tamagotchi attenas are just a plastic covering.

If you would like to see the inside, just buy a see-threw tama.

they probably made it this way because they wanted to show a difference between the tamagotchi v2 and v3.
