I have a theory for the Chest (V4 only, not sure about V3)
When you buy, if it is ___, it will:

1st in shop: Transform to temporary baby

2nd in shop: Give gotchi points

3rd in shop: Give present

4th in shop: Transform to temporary oldie

This has been tested, and I hope it helps you next time you spot a Chest in your V4's shop. :huh:

Nope that does not work. :huh:

I always get a present or gotchi points. :D

I'm not being mean but all tamagotchis are different and yours just might have gone in that order. B)

Did you test it 3 times to make sure? :huh:

If you didn't try again 3 times and then do and see what happens. :p

So really that is not true. :p

Sorry I just don't believe your 'theory' because its most likely not true. :)

Oh, I never thought of that. I just thought it depended what your fortune cookies were... Oh well!

i would think that if a parent give you a chest that he/she would be desparite

to have have his/her baby back!

 
I got another treasure chest in my shop today - the 4th item in the shop - and it gave my tama a gift - a pencil
I think the pattern you noticed might just be a coincidence - sorry :D

Unless the theory only applies to Connexions/Connections, and you happen to have the wrong one. Maybe other people could post their results?

 
hmm.. i tried that... it didnt work..

but what i have found is...

i bought 2 chests, they were in the shop at the same time as 2nd, and 4th item

in the morning, i used it.. it turned my tama into an oldie.

i resetted,

i used it again. still, oldie

i resetted..

i used the SECOND chest... = oldie

i used it just now

and it was 500 gp

i used the 2nd one = 500gp

my theory is that the time used effects what it gives
