V5 Meme Family

I've been trying to get Memetchi to get the Meme family on the V5 for 3 Generations already... and when I train, I always pick the middle thing, too.

Is Memetchi hard to get or am I doing something wrong??

You are doing the right thing in choosing the middle training icon. What you need to do in addition, is to use the bonding items so that by the time your character is ready evolve into the adult, it will have at LEAST 80% bonding. Memetchi is a high bonding character.
