Version 4.5s Any new dirt on 'em?

I'm very seriously saving my money to buy a Tamagotchi Version 4.5 but I would like to know the details and differences compared to a Tamagotchi Version 4 before buying it. I don't want to waste my money on something with very little difference to the Version 4.

All I know is that the designs are very original (to me) and fresh, and that it has a star instead of a sphere on the tip.

I am also hearing rumors that it has 7 shop items instead of 4.
