Is there any way to pause a version 5? I've tried pressing the A and B buttons at the same time, but it won't work.

To pause your tamagotchi on the version 5, you need to go to the new feature!
Basically, go to the t.v icon and then select travel show! Keep them on it as long as you want, and if you want them to return, just press C button!
