what gender is the deka tamas character?

so i just got my tamagotchi king of games deka and i just cant figure out what gender it is! it looks like a boy when you look on the packeging but on the actual tama it looks like a girl?

I think it depends on which design you have.

I don't really have one, so I'm not sure. :furawatchi:

In the instruction booklet, the character is labelled "anata" which means "you."

This same character as was used on the first Home Deka Tama. At that time, almost all Tamagotchi characters could be male or female. (e.g. you could raise a female Mametchi.) It wasn't until the EnTama / Connection V4 that each character was assigned a specific gender.

So, for the Home Deka Tamas, I believe the character could be either gender - which ever you wish.
