well first of all, what version is your tama??

if it ver 5 then you can exit the game by pressing the last button. where as other versions you cant do that.

about the universal characters, which are mainly in ver 4 and 4.5. when your tama isnt in a certain type, such as smart or sparkle or kind ect.... it goes into universal.

but if you earn enough points then you can get into a certain type.!! :kusatchi:

The v4 is annoying because if you dont get over 80 skill points, it is universal. The universal characters are so ugly!
