Mine was a clear pink tamagotchi V1. I even remember her name. it was Zoey.

The first tama ever made? It was the Japanese P1. Later that year. they made their way to America, and the P2 followed soon after.

The first tamas came out in 1997 in Japan (then later that year in america) they were called the P1's. they had a checkerboard background and i believe originally came out in 6 colors. Soon after, they added more colors. Then came the P2, then the Angelgotchi. ETC.. Hope i helped

The Tamagotchi (P1 Japanese-language version) was first sold in stores on November 23, 1996 in Japan. The P2 Japanese-language version came out, in Japan, in February 1997.

The Tamagotchi P1 English-language version was first sold in America, Canada, Europe, Asia in May 1997.
