What was this virtual pet/game?

When I was in first grade or so (1998-1999), I had this game. I want to say it was about the size of a nintendo DS, but thicker. Like a DS and a half. It was on hinges and opened like a DS and I want to say it was in a pink casing (but I could be wrong on that one). In the game, you had a girl that you had to get her nails done, take her shopping, and you typed her messages. Thats about all I can remember from it. My sister and I THOUGHT it was called My Digital Best Friend but when I googled it, I couldn't come up with anything. If anyones got any ideas, please let me know.

Umm... Humm. I know Girl Tech has been around for a while. Sounds like it would be something from them... Although... I don't know IF for sure they were out then and IF they made digital pets.

It kinda makes me think of a Pixel Chix game....

The casing and everything makes me think of a Princess Max, but apparently it's not so...It might be a Star Max.
