A little bit after your tama evolves into a kid

it will get in its mail a message

that looks like this [!].

It will get this when it is

a teen and a adult.

Look for the sign [!].

In TamaTown it's the little building in front of the school. And on your Tama, if it's a toddler wait a few hours and it should get a [!] mail accepting it into preschool. Once it can go to preschool, go to the connection menu and select WORK.
