Why arent the passwords working on v3?

on my friends v3 the passwords that you get off tamatown do NOT work but the character he has is a teen. does this affect if the passwords work cause it keeps comin up "error"?

The age doesn't matter. I used them when my tama was just a baby.

However, the username does. You must make sure that when you get the password, the username you are using is the same you are using for your tamagotchi. They are username specific. This seems to be the cause of much confusion about the TamaTown passwords.

yeah, i think there should be a ban on all those wasteful topics on tamatalk..

there are too many of them and they only work for the username.
