Why wont my tamagotchi hatch?

hey I'm new to tamatalk so im not sure what to do so ill just give it a go tell me if i did something wrong. If your tama won't hatch its' beacause you havent set the time. Set the time, wait five minutes (for gen one might be diffrent for another gen) but thats all bye!

Yeah, on the P1(gen 1) once you set the time and wait 5 minutes it should hatch if not press the reset pin on the back
