Will the love potion work?

I'm not sure if there's another topic like this, so i started my own. I'm just wondering... can you use the love potion to get the v2 and the v3 to marry? They both have the potion, and I want to use it on both of them... I'm just not so sure if it'll work. I've done it with two v3's before, but that's just the same type of version. Answer please, I really want them to get married sooner
