Highlight of the day: my Devilgotch evolves into an adult!

November 9, 2011

Tamagotchi iD L

Nothing new with Chiharu today. We're just waiting around until tomorrow when she earns her last happy sign and she can go to the matchmaker. She's really excited for what's to come!

TMGC+C

Minako took a bath after she woke up this morning and then she went outside to check on her tree. It sprouted up just a little bit more when she came by. Hopefully something interesting will sprout in a couple of days!

Devilgotch

After much waiting, my Akuma finally evolved into an adult! This is the first time I've run a Devilgotch that evolves into an adult. I got Debirudori. We'll see how long I can keep him around!

That's all for today. Thanks for checking in!

Chiharu needed a bath in the morning.

IMG_1120.jpg
IMG_1122.jpg

After that, we went to check on our plant. It did not produce the item we needed.

IMG_1123.jpg
IMG_1124.jpg

I decided to try again tomorrow, so we bought some more seeds and tried again. We’ll check on them again tomorrow. Here’s hoping!

Chiharu earned one of her happy signs today, the one that appears when your character has been an adult for 48 hours. We're just waiting around for the Shiny Tool we need.

IMG_1127.jpg

TMGC+C

I don’t seem to have any pictures of Minako until November 12 for some reason. She evoled into Lavuzukintchi. I will be taking her to the matchmaker on the 12th.

Devilgotch

Akuma is still hanging around. Here are some more pictures of him.

November 11, 2011

Happy Veterans’ Day, everyone! Also, did everyone make a wish on this special 11-11-11 day? :)

Tamagotchi iD L

Unfortunately, we didn’t get the shiny tool we wanted yet again. I don’t know why I didn’t just do the time trick to grow plants as fast as I want but we tried planting seeds again.

IMG_1128.jpg

Stay tuned…

TMGC+C

No pictures yet again. Minako should be ready to go to the matchmaker tomorrow.

Short update for today, as not much was going on with my Devilgotch either.

Playing the game and falling asleep during the game :p

I’ll be back soon for more logging!

Huge shout-out to one of my regular readers, Violetchilluvr3! Thank you so much for your continued support and kind words. :)

Tamagotchi iD L

So I caved and did the time trick with my Shiny Tools seeds but luckily, I only had to do it once because look what we got: the Tamamori tree! It’s an interesting little tree, akin to a Christmas tree, I suppose.

IMG_1136.jpg
IMG_1138.jpg

Chiharu tried it out; looks like activating this special item makes this neat border around the screen. Like one of those Christmas picture postcards you send out to your family and friends.

IMG_1139.jpg
IMG_1140.jpg

IMG_1147.jpg
IMG_1148.jpg

I’m actually not completely sure what that tree is all about; I could have it all wrong. That was neat to see though.

With that, Chiharu earned her last happy symbol and her character was stored under the book icon.

IMG_1142.jpg
IMG_1143.jpg

I took her to the matchmaker, where she fell head over heels for Mametchi.

Chiharu and Mametchi were married and she came home with an egg.

IMG_1153.jpg
IMG_1154.jpg
IMG_1155.jpg

The egg hatched to reveal a baby boy! I named him Yukio (“happy hero”).

IMG_1156.jpg
IMG_1157.jpg

He evolved into Kaubotchi at the end of the hour.

IMG_1162.jpg

TMGC+C

It was a day at the matchmaker’s for Minako as well. She and Shimashimatchi really hit it off and so they were married.

IMG_1134.jpg

Minako came home with the egg and when it hatched, out came a baby boy! I named him Tamotsu (“defender, protector”). He evolved into Ahirukutchi after an hour.

IMG_1135.jpg
IMG_1160.jpg

Our tree also fully bloomed today...into a poo tree. :p Better luck next time!

Devilgotch

Sadly, I think it was around this day when my dear Akuma went back to Devil World. I enjoyed his stay. Too bad it was a bad end though. Wonder what it looks like when it’s a good end. I suppose it’s the right timing though, since I will be hatching my P2 for the Tamagotchi 15th anniversary hatch.

IMG_1260.jpg

Until next time!

November 23, 2011: 2-day post today! Also, happy 15th anniversary to Tamagotchi and happy birthday to Mametchi! Thanks for all the great memories. Here's to many, many more!

Thanks for being patient with me while I catch up on all my logging!

November 13, 2011

Tamagotchi iD L

Yukio evolved into Bokuhoshitchi today.

IMG_1165.jpg

Rats! I was hoping I cared for him a little better than that. Since I’ve already gotten all the characters in that group, I’m going to have to connect my iD L to my iD. This time, I will be going for Hirotchi (Herotchi), who requires connecting to 6 different friends during the teen stage. I will be tackling that tomorrow.

TMGC+C

Tamotsu evolved into the adorable Young Mametchi today. It will be a couple of days before he evolves into an adult.

IMG_1166.jpg

November 14, 2011

Tamagotchi iD L

I made sure to connect my iD L with my iD 6 “different” times (for more information, see THIS post) so that I could get Hirotchi and continue on my streak of getting different characters each time.

IMG_1174.jpg

iD L connecting with iD

It worked!

IMG_1184.jpg

Once Yukio evolved into Hirotchi, I took him to the Tama Café for a treat. He enjoyed it very much.

IMG_1182.jpg

We haven’t had a pet in a while so we also stopped by Donuts Park to see if there were any pets there that we could adopt. Bagubagutchi took a great liking to Yukio, so we brought him home.

IMG_1187.jpg
IMG_1189.jpg
IMG_1190.jpg

Yukio enjoyed a relaxing day afterward.

Tamotsu planted a new pack of seeds after that disastrous last sprouting that yielded the poo tree, yikes! Here’s hoping for better luck next time!

IMG_1203.jpg

So a couple of days ago, I found a Pokemon Pikachu 2 GS pedometer on Ebay. I had been in the market for one for months now because my precious old one, the one I mentioned in THIS post (it has a little background story to it, which I haven’t yet explained), broke. Silly me, not checking my pockets before I put my clothes into the wash. :p Well, I recovered it, and wanted to take it apart so that I could air it out but I quickly found out that a pedometer has a bunch of tiny little parts in it. When I opened it up and fiddled around with it, the parts dislodged and I couldn’t really figure out how to put it back together properly. By the time I was done with it, I could turn it on but no picture appeared. I was pretty devastated because one of my oldest friends gave it to me. She and I go pretty far back; we went to middle school together. In middle school, she knew I was into virtual pets and everything, so she let me borrow her Pikachu pedometer. I played with it all the time. I have since moved away and many years have gone by when we’ve last seen each other but one day a few years ago, I messaged her about it, reminiscing about the good old days, and she sent it to me! It’s got a lot of sentimental value. This is why I was happy to find a replacement for a very reasonable price. I found it and inquired about it to make sure that it was the exact one I was looking for (the seller had a stock photo up of a different version) and to top it all off, the seller lowered the price right after I spoke with him. It was a Buy-It-Now. It was too good of an opportunity to pass up, so I went for it. It arrived in the mail today and so I started it up. :)

Here comes another 2-day post! I've got to get closer to getting caught up before I get busy again!

November 17, 2011

Tamagotchi iD L

Sumiko evolved into Sabosabotchi today.

IMG_1243.jpg

I think I’m going to go for Shigurehimetchi. If I happen to overshoot the care misses (like I usually do :p ) a little bit, getting Makiko or Pichipitchi wouldn’t be so bad, since I haven’t gotten them yet either. If I get Furawatchi…well, I’ve had her before, but at least I can try her Henshinjo item.

TMGC+C

Tamotsu made a trip to the matchmaker today. He married Meidotchi and they had a baby girl, whom I named Shinju (“pearl”). She evolved into Sakuramotchi after the hour of care.

Sumiko managed to find my wedding gift to her, a kimono for her big day...sneaky gal. It looks great on her so I decided that she could keep it on (I really would like her character to be stored under the book icon wearing it).

IMG_1352.jpg
IMG_1353.jpg

TMGC+C

Shinju is looking as cute as ever. The highlight of the day was going out into the garden to check on our tree. It’s growing very beautifully!

IMG_1355.jpg

The air was nippy so Shinju didn’t stay out there too long. It won’t be long before the weather changes and we get some snow. The holidays are fast approaching!

P2

I hatched my P2 before I headed off to watch another football game on this wonderful Saturday afternoon. If I remember correctly, the care period between the baby and toddler stages is about 60-70 minutes so I made sure to time it so that I would be at home taking as many pictures as I could before going to the game. I don’t take pictures very well in cars. :D Anyway, here is a glimpse of what happened after I hatched my P2.

After much debating on whether or not I should hatch both my P2s, I decided to just hatch my transparent yellow P2. This P2 is very special to me because it is an exact replica of the very first Tamagotchi I bought back in 1999. I still have my old P2 but…let’s just say it’s been well-worn. XD All that’s left are some spare parts, as you can see in the picture below. It's been soldered and re-soldered multiples times, pixels have gone out, the sound disabled, you name it.

IMG_2508-Copy.jpg

What's left of my first Tamagotchi.

I was very lucky to find a new one for a fantastic price back in 2007, when I got back into Tamagotchis for good. I love the transparent shell designs.

IMG_1253.jpg

Onward to the hatch! Brace yourselves; I tend to take loads of pictures. :D

I set the time for 10:10 am. I can’t tell you how awesome it felt to watch this tiny, bouncing egg on a black and white screen again.

IMG_1268.jpg
IMG_1266.jpg

This definitely takes me back to that summer day in 1999 when I hatched a Tamagotchi for the very first time. I was so excited to play with it that I wasn’t even out of the mall (where I got my first Tamagotchi) yet when I started playing with it. :D

Back to the present moment (you’ll find me getting really nostalgic when talking about my P2 XD)! 5 minutes later, a ringing was heard and the egg started shaking! The egg hatched and out came a Shirobabitchi.

IMG_1269.jpg
IMG_1271.jpg

Such a cute little blob. I’m not sure what I’m naming my Tamagotchi yet. I think most of the characters on the P2 would be considered males these days but then there’s Mimitchi, whom I consider a female character. I’m going to have to think about that one. I have a tendency to think of my vintage Tamagotchi characters as males though. Maybe I’ll go with the character name right now until I find a name for my Tamagotchi (although I may slip up and call him a “he;” I can pretty much guarantee that).

Shirobabitchi immediately called for attention and so I fed my baby first. There is a choice between the meal (hamburger) and the snack (cake). One meal shades in one hunger heart and increases weight by one pound, and one snack shades in one happiness heart and increases weight by 2 pounds.

IMG_1283.jpg
IMG_1274.jpg

IMG_1276.jpg

What he looks like when he's happy :)

I proceeded to play the game. The objective of the game is to predict if the number on the right (which isn't revealed until you make your decision) will be lower (press A) or higher (press B ) than the number displayed on the left. Numbers possible are 1 through 9. Getting 3 out of 5 correct will increase happiness levels, as usual. I guessed perfectly on my very first game!

IMG_1277.jpg
IMG_1281.jpg

About 15 minutes after the egg first hatched, Shirobabitchi pooped for the first time. I managed to get some pictures of this happening. I had to grab my camera and snap them really quickly, hence the blurriness of the first picture, but I got what I was looking for: a picture of Shirobabitchi’s face right after it happens. It’s so adorable…and hilarious. XD In the first picture, Shirobabitchi is just kind of wiggling in concentration and then boom! Present for me. :p I promptly cleaned up the mess.

Not sure when exactly it happened but I think Shirobabitchi got sick at around 10:50 am. My baby did not like the taste of the medicine I gave but it did the trick. It wore him out so much that he fell asleep for his first nap after that. Naps take about 5 minutes so he was up shortly afterward. Don't forget to turn out the lights!

IMG_1287.jpg
IMG_1289.jpg

After Shirobabitchi woke up, the age counter under the stats meter showed that my baby was 1 year old. My, how they grow up so quickly. :p

IMG_1290.jpg

Speaking of growing up, Shirobabitchi evolved into Tonmarutchi somewhere between 60 and 70 minutes after hatching. I almost missed the transition, which is why the first picture is so blurry but there he is!

IMG_1291.jpg
IMG_1296.jpg

It was a fairly uneventful day after all that. Even though I was on the road, I managed to catch 2 discipline calls, bringing the discipline meter up to 50%, so I was happy about that. I’m not sure which character I’m aiming for yet.

IMG_1300.jpg

On the road...don't worry, I'm not the one driving. :p

IMG_1303.jpg
IMG_1308.jpg

First discipline call and reaction after disciplined

This might be a little silly but I had to get a picture of my Tamagotchi chain hooked onto my belt loop. XD This is how I carried my Tamagotchi on me for the rest of the day. Don't you just miss the days when you could just slip your Tamagotchi into your pocket or hook it on to one of your belt loops and carry it around like it's no big thing? I love the size of the vintage Tamagotchis. I used to hook mine onto my belt loop all the time. Ah, good times.

IMG_1311-1.jpg

Also, because I happened to see this when I checked on my Pikachu (which I was also wearing on me that day):

IMG_1310.jpg

Hula-hooping :)

I don't do this type of thing often but I'm going to take a moment to plug my log. :D I adore all my Tamagotchis and virtual pets and I love logging about them. Over the months since I've started this up, I've received such great feedback and kind words, and I can't tell you how appreciative I am of you all. I'm especially thankful for your patience, since I tend to backlog a lot due to my hectic schedule. I hope you continue to read and enjoy it as much as I love doing it, and if you like what you see, please feel free to follow it (there should be a "follow this topic" button in the top right-hand corner) and/or rate it (you can find this in the top left-hand corner of the window, where the stars are). As I mentioned right at the start of this log, if you have any questions, comments, suggestions, or any feedback at all, I am completely open to it (especially if you feel that this log deserves anything lower than 5 stars...if that is the case, please let me know if there's anything I can do to improve this log). Please just make sure to do it through PM or profile comment, as comments in other members' logs are not allowed. Thank you so much for reading, as always. :)

Sumiko earned her last happy sign today. With that, I now have 20 unique characters stored under the book icon.

IMG_1364.jpg
IMG_1365.jpg

This also means that another destination has opened up and new icon backgrounds are available. Sumiko and I went to check it out and we found that the Waru Café opened up.

IMG_1367.jpg
IMG_1368.jpg

I checked under the stats icon for the new icon backgrounds and sure enough, there was another option there to change them.

IMG_1369.jpg

I have to admit that I much prefer the Melody icons. Maybe these ones will grow on me. I decided to wait until the next morning to take Sumiko to the matchmaker since it was getting late.

TMGC+C

Shinju evolved into Marotchi today. Here she is standing next to her sprouting tree.

IMG_1363.jpg

She’ll be ready to go to the matchmaker in a couple of days.

P2

Tonmarutchi and I checking in again! Day 2, though less eventful than the day of the hatch, was still bursting with fun times. Looking back, I’d say I did a fair job at keeping Tonmarutchi full and happy.

IMG_1357.jpg

I don’t recall letting my Tamagotchi call for food or games at all today. There was a call for attention in the morning though. I noticed my toddler refused food and wouldn’t play the game. This was a discipline opportunity. Tonmarutchi looked ashamed for being mischievous though, so instead of calling it “discipline,” I just "gently chided" my toddler. I know, I’m a big softie. :D Still wasn’t happy about being reprimanded though. After that third (total so far) discipline call, I made sure to play the game with my toddler and feed my P2 some treats. That seemed to cheer up my toddler a bit.

This lets me know that my character will evolve soon. I’m hoping my P2 will evolve tomorrow because I’m going to have to pause my Tamagotchi on Tuesday for my 12-hour clinical day, so I'd prefer if it happened before then.

I finally pulled out my other vintage case I have (I got this one NIP for a great deal as well) and let my guy (yes, I have finally chosen a gender for my character…baby steps :D ) try it on for size. The front is clear, of course, and the back is a cream/soft yellow color that matches my P2's shell very well. I think he likes it!

IMG_1383.jpg

Here are some stats for the morning. Discipline meter was at 75%, so I was hoping for one more discipline call before my character evolved today. I generally kept the happiness and hunger hearts full, not letting them fall more than one each.

A happy Tonmarutchi

He evolved into Tongaritchi, the healthy teen character, at around 12:20 pm. I love this character! It’s like he sprouted legs and is marching in place. Adorable.

IMG_1403.jpg

I think I’m going to try for the secret character, Zachi. This is why I made the decision to make my character a boy (still thinking of a name to give him though). I was stuck between Zachi and getting Mimitchi, one of my favorite characters, but I’ve gotten Mimitchi on my P2 many times before. I haven’t tried for Zachi in a while, so I figured I would give it a shot. Unfortunately (or fortunately, however you’d like to look at it), this involves a lot of neglect in the teen stage, which I feel badly about doing. :p After my guy evolves into the worst of the healthy-care adults, Zukitchi, I have to take perfect care of him from there to get Zachi. We’ll see how it goes!

That's all for the 21st. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy 15th anniversary to Tamagotchi and happy birthday, Mametchi. Thanks for the great memories and here's to many, many more!

My Tamagotchis were on pause all day yesterday because of my 12-hour clinical day.

Tamagotchi iD L

Well, for some reason I can’t recall (maybe accidental button-mashing in my bag again), I guess my iD L was un-paused somehow and ran for a while without care because Kotone left me and the place was a mess. =/

I re-hatched my iD L and a baby boy was given to me. I named him Kenta (“big/strong”).

We wanted to celebrate Mametchi's birthday in grand style but we needed to spruce up the house a little bit first. Kenta helped me out to clean the house, which I was really grateful for. He was pooped after chores, so he took a brief nap afterward.
