If they stay at the bottom of the screen laughing after they give a bad present you are supposed to give them a timeout. You get training points for it!

Acually, this is a common glitch. Have you reset and/or downloaded it a lot? That might be why. People have found poop in their shop, balls in their food, and lots more! So don't worry, it is just a glitch.

You have to buy makeup and a mirror and make sure your tama is an adult. Then you go to your items list, select makeup, then you should see your tama in front of the mirror. After a few seconds it should disapper and come up super close to the screen! P.S. Don't try it with boys. They lose one...
