After a few moments, Emily sighed, her breathe turning into mist with the cold air, "whatever, I'll just risk it." Emily's grip on her weapon tightened as she ran towards the spot where she had sensed mysterious life-form energy. "God protect me, god protect me," Emily muttered over and over as she mentally panicked. This is my end. My fate, the time where I leave this world...An opening appeared through the alleyway of two buildings, it seemed that... Some guy was fighting monsters and a girl was laying back behind. Startled by the sudden appearance of humans, Emily kept her guard low, trying to keep smart, trying to see if they were friend or foe.

Lily was stunned. She stood, hidden away, quietly watching. She cursed herself for not working up the courage to help her brother, she was a weakling. "Luke, there are three total from what I can see!" she told him, flinching as she watched the other two monsters as they were approaching, they weren't far. She looked down at her marker, wondering if she could try drawing up a new weapon. She sketched the outline of an axe and waited for the weapon to form. After a moment, the axe only formed into a rubbery outline. She furrowed her brow as she stared down at it, confused.

"Three?" The number was followed by a string of curse words as Luke tried and failed to get a decent hit on the first monster. He'd only defeated one before, and he wasn't quite sure how he'd done it. Taking a risk, he dived for the knife Lily had dropped and flung it as best he could in the direction of the second approaching monster, hoping to score some sort of hit. This turned out to not be the best plan, however, as Luke found him stuck on the floor and forced to roll away. "Lily, get out of here!"

Emily watched the two from the shadows, they appeared to be... Retreating? The monster could turn around and attack her is that was the case. But Emily wasn't sure how great the monster's senses were, all she knows is that they are extremely flexible is catching their prey, Emily had been chased several times, she was lucky to have survived this long alone. Emily didn't know what to do, to dart out and fight? Or to watch these people get hunted down. After a few moments of just watching such terror unfold, Emily decided to reveal herself, her glass pole clutched to her side. She wasn't too sure on how to use it, but she decided to be reckless, running at the demon and slashing at it blindly, her sore legs caused painful moans to spill out of Emily's mouth as she attempted concentration on defeating the demon in battle.

Name; Krystal Evans

Age; 14

Appearance; Krystal is what you'd call a 'mini Snow White'. She has horrible pale skin, baby blue eyes, and dark, black hair (although her lips wouldn't be described as 'red as blood'). She has a small and fragile-looking figure, and she's roughly 4"11, very short for her age. She has a 'baby face' because she does not look very mature for her age. She is not exactly 'pretty', but she isn't horrible-looking either. She has a kind of weak and helpless look.

History; Krystal was a rather problematic child. Krystal's mother was killed when she was four by her father, who was drunk one evening and, using a golf club hit his wife in the head when she was trying to protect her daughter (Krystal) and he gave her a concussion and left her lying there, bleeding to death. She eventually died of blood loss. Her father was always drunk and abusive after that, always shouting insults at her and hitting her, sometimes even burning her. Eventually the house burned down when Krystal's father slopped his beer all over the place, cursing under his breath, then lighting the stove to light his cigarette. Stupidly, he dropped the cigarette and lit the house on fire. Ever since then, Krystal has been wanting to get revenge (kill) on her father for being such a bad parent and killing her mother.

Power; Krystal's power is to be able to detect fear, hatred, or similar feelings because of her extremely strong feelings toward her father (in a negative way) and depending on the amount of hatred, it can actually affect Krystal (migranes, depression, nausea, etc.).

Weapon; Krystal's weapon is a scythe. She uses it because it is a symbol of Death, which is a memory of her father abusing her and her mother dying.

Other; Krystal likes to 'save' people in danger, it's almost like a reminder that her mother had saved her, and she had died, so Krystal's willing to do the same to anyone in danger.

Lily abandoned the outline of the axe and shook her head. "Luke, I can't just leave you!" she yelled, taking a few steps forward. She then took a good look at the monsters and cowered back, shrinking into the shadows. She was about to force herself to go out into the fight when she saw someone burst out and begin slashing at the monster. She tilted her head, muttering to herself and finally forcing herself to aid her brother, the replica sword clutched tightly in both hands.

"Lily, please-" But Luke cut off as another girl entered the fray, clutching what looked to be a pole made of... glass? What good was that? Still, this now meant that there was a monster for each of them, even though Luke was trying to force Lily back into the alcove. "Hi there!" Luke shouted to the new girl, taking a swipe at the monster he had been originally fighting. "Do you know how to defeat them?!"

Emily blinked, defeating them was certainly a thing she hadn't known about, "nonono..." She replied, standing there with the pole for defensive purposes as she thought, they should have died the first time I cut them in that mist in half...Panic slowly consumed Emily as she regretted ever coming out of the shadows, even with a weapon, they were difficult to fight back with. Her slices at the dark monster were becoming sluggish and desperate. Her pole hit the ground, breaking into several pieces, and all Emily could do was watch as shard flew everywhere, into the demon and especially into her own body. Her shin began to bleed heavily, the cuts were much deeper than the cuts on her upper body.

Lily swung the sword at the monster in front of her, her eyes widening when it did little to no harm to the monster. She then looked over at Luke, beginning to tremble. She watched the girl with the glass pole, wondering what she was doing with that pole of hers. She yelled out in pain after the girl smashed the pole into the ground and several shards hit her body, top to bottom. She dropped the sword and began trying frantically to pull a chunk of the glass from her neck, almost completely forgetting about the monsters in front of her.

Emily cringed, her eyes shut hard as her teeth clenched as she struggled staying upright. The pain of the glass was unbearable, just like the time glass had first gone through her eye so long ago. But the pain was all through her body, blood beginning to pour from a lot of places in her body. She could still see what was around her, due to her ability, her eyes clamped shut, she detected a lot more monsters coming from behind the group. Even if it hurt, Emily flickered her eyes open, blinking uncontrollably, "behind you!" She screamed loudly as the shards from her pole seemed to float through the air quickly and return to the original shape of her weapon. That meant the shards had left Emily's body, but she still bled.

Luke was far too focused on trying to hit the monsters to notice Emily getting hurt - he saw some blood, but thought nothing of it - until he heard Lily scream. Instantly he whipped around, dropping to his knees and investigating Lily's neck. Glass?! What new torture was this?! "Hold still!" But just as his fingers closed around the glass he found himself being picked up, having clearly been identified as the main threat in this little group. Gritting his teeth and yelling out, Luke attempted to swing at the one holding him, but soon lost the majority of his field of vision as the mist started closing around him.

Lily ignored the stream of blood running from her neck as the shard came free along with the other shards that had been lodged in the rest of her body. She picked up the sword quickly and slashed at the monster, being careful not to hit Luke. She cut and cut at the monster, not ceasing her movement for one second. "Luke!" she screamed, tearing up. She still did not give up the movement of slashing, however, and completely failed to remember the presence of Emily.

Due to the monster being, y'know, mist, Luke couldn't get a solid hold on an arm or anything to try and free himself. Then a probably rather stupid idea came into his head and he swung the sword backwards, over his head and into... something solid? It was clearly in pain, and Luke got dropped to the ground, scrambling away as he looked up. His sword had become lodged in some sort of skull... if he pulled it down... "Lily! Grab the sword and pull it down!" Sorry, Lily - he'd have to explain later. With a noise Luke picked his sister up and held her up, providing the height needed while making sure she didn't get hurt.

Lily reached up and grabbed the sword, yanking it downwards. The monster let out a pained wail before the mist disappeared and the skull-like object fell from the sword. Lily grinned in satisfaction and looked down at Luke. "I did it, Luke!" she said happily. She looked back and forth between the other two monsters, one confronting Emily, and the other approaching her and Luke. "Luke, so that's it! We need to hit their... Skulls? It causes them to disappear!"

"Yeah, you did!" Luke grinned for a brief moment as he put Lily down, before becoming serious as he picked the sword up. Clearly they needed to get higher up in order to hit the skull... Luke took a step back before running and leaping with the sword in the air in a totally badass way, only to miss and be swept aside into the wall. "...Lily! Where's that knife?!"

Lily looked around. "I think you threw it somewhere!" she told him. "Just wait one second..." she muttered, bending over and sketching things quickly. When she was finished, a knife with a jagged edge was formed. She grinned at the new knife she made, due to her rush which didn't allow her to draw straight lines. She held it up to Luke, drawing one more that had a similar jagged edge with her other hand. "Here, Luke!"

"Great." This time Luke grinned with grim determination, testing the knife in his hand. He'd never held something like this before, never mind used one... "Okay, mind out!" Luke took a moment before drawing his arm back and throwing the knife, aiming it at the skull. It lodged in the side, and Luke suddenly realised "...What now?"

Lily thought for a moment, staring at the knife in the monster's head. "... We didn't think this through well enough... You might have to life me up again, even further this time since the knife is shorter than the sword." she told him. "I'm sure I could get it just like last time," she muttered, staring at the knife unblinkingly. Even now, she had a small smile that lit up her face. She looked at her brother. "Are you ready?"
