as ridiculous as it seems, $50 seems realistic. this new tama seems to have a backlit screen (think ipod or nintendo ds). the color pokemon pikachu cost less because it was just a plain lcd display that could only display 3 colors...
the only things in life you can be too old for is sleeping in a crib and getting breastfed. other than that, you can never be too old for anything :( especially toys!
the key to keeping any relationship alive (especially long distance ones) is communication. the phone, instant messaging, webcams, and maybe visiting each other every once in a while keeps that "spark" alive :mellow:

i go to college in new york city, and last week i went across the river to new jersey with my friend to mitsuwa (the japanese marketplace) and there's a little japanese gift shop next door to the food court called japanusa. i was browsing...
i noticed that on TT there are some people who post links to some tamas on sale on japanese websites (that only ship within japan) and of course we could all wish that we could somehow order from the website but we cant because we don't live in japan. i know i have been in that situation :)...
