How long can i leave it alone?

If my tama isn't hungry, can i leave her on without her getting sad if i'm not actually playing it? Or should i pause her?

Thanks a lot for the help everybody, but really, i still don't know how to get my tama to go to preschool. She doesn't leave at all, she just "says" no, and i wanted to see her in preschool, so i don't really want to just wait. Do get something to say that your tama is ready for pre-school...

So what do u think i should do?
