Well, the manual says hit the A button, and then again 3 times until the shopkeeper appears suprised. Did that, tried entering a code, but it contains the C button and for some reason the shopkeeper just goes back to being happy. Is it something I pressed, or am I just not being fast enough?

If you're playing bump, but still losing when the power metre is full it probably means your Tama is too light to face off properly. Feed him up, maybe with a few snacks. He'll get heavier, and more likely to win.

Out of interest, what is debugging? It sounds very unhelpful! Is there anyway to undo it?
