At my elementary school we were on the same school grounds as the high school so when they were in lockdown, so were we. One day a kid called from a phone right outside the school and said he had a gun and was going to kill a bunch of people. So, we were in lockdown for four hours. When it first started at luncch we were in the bathroom. As me and i best friend came out the re was no one in there and my principal was yelling (we almost got locked in the bathroom) well they called in the Swat Team and all afternoon they were on top of the highschool looking for this person. I even got stopped by one of them when i was leaving my school because they wanted to search my backpack. It was crazy!

i just heard on the news that a teacher made a bomb threat at the school she teaches at. She teaches 4 grade. She draws pictures that say you will die and stuff.

yeah, i think i saw that.

and Broken~Wings, like your teacher,

there was this guy on my elementary school's ground. he had a gun and something else. it was a shotgun. we had a lockdown, for about ten minutes. our tough-guy principal went to talk to him. the dude was just a hunter going to the lake behind our school to fish XD

Girls, crying through the hallways. Boys, eyes downcast. Teachers, being judgemental. Eyes ocasionally flitting. The kid could be standing next to them, and they wouldn't know it.

There was a bomb threat at my school, scheduled for yesterday. Let me start from the beginnning.

A week ago, there was a note in the back of an eighth grade literature book. I didn't read it, but I talked to the girl that found it. It said there was going to be a bomb, it was for today. Of course, I thought it was just a rumor. I completely forgot about it.

Then I saw a girl in the hallway that I kind of knew. she was crying. I went up to her and asked her what was wrong, before the homeroom bell rang.

"My parents made me go to school today." She said. I was about to say "oh." then walk away, but she said something that made me stop.

"And the bomb's going off today."

"Oh," i said under my breath. I turned back to her, but she was gone.

The kids in my homeroom were sitting silently, odd for a seventh grade class. The teacher came to the class.

"Yes, there was a bomb threat, and yes, it is a rumor. But they called the Superintendant, the Police Force, Fire Department, SWAT, the Bomb Squad, and the Police Dogs, for precautions."  Like that was going to relax us. But we weren't checked when we came into the school. And the note said they were going to bring the bomb. That's smart.

It was scheduled to go off at one thirty, five minutes into fifth period. It was a long day, so I'll give you an outline.

Guitar Class- I told taylor about it. She didn't really talk for the rest of the class.

Language- We said goodbye to the friends that we weren't going to see for the rest of the day.

Geography- The teacher repetedly told us it was a rumor. It didn't help.

Lunch/Outside- We talked about what we wanted our last words to be. Mine were "unforgotten"

Science- It was fourth period, almost time. I told the entire class that it wouldn't happen. I wasn't really sure of myself. I said goodbye to Taylor. we saluted. i said "it was a pleasure playing with you tonight" which is a quote from Titanic. Then we hugged.

Math- I had gotten to class. My only close friend was absent that day. I was going to have to do this alone.

For the next five minutes, it was the morbid, sad, trying-to-be-strong attitudes of earlier. Ten times more. The teacher didn't say anything, I suppose it was on purpose. You could hear small crying from variouse classrooms.

It was time. There were ten seconds left. There was a countdown. All around the school you heard it, and the teachers didn't bother to stop it.

"THREE! TWO! ONE!" We all yelled.

"Unforgotten" I whispered.

It was time. We grew silent. the evil clock struck the six. And all of the sudden, nothing happened.

What a joke. They say whoever it is is going to get expelled. When thet find him. I hope he's glad he scared the crap out of everybody, because there's gonna be a lawsuit.

Now rumors are out it was gonna be today. Only it didn't happen. Again. Now they're saying it's gonna be tomorrow. Sure.

Sorry it's long, but has anything like this ever happened to you?

Was there even a bomb?

Was it a rumor?

I think it was just some random guy trying to play a stupid joke on the school for laughs :\ . When I was in high school, people used to do that all the time. Once these boys in my grade at time (eleventh grade) went to porn sites and prited pictures of naked ladies etc. and brought them to school and put them in whatever desk they sat at. My friend sat at one of those desks and she was opening her desk to get her binder out when he saw a picture of a woman in a super reavealing bikini :\ . She called me over to her desk and showed me what she had found. We then told our teacher, who reported it to the principal. For the next two weeks, all boys had to have their biders and backpacks checked for pornographic material. The girls didn't have to because the school was sure that it wasn't a girl who put the pictures in the desks. The Internet was also blocked for two days until they found out the pictures were not printed at school after reviewing the internet logs of all the students. They eventually found the two boys, and they got expelled :\ . See how stupid these jokes can get?

there was a bomb threat skedzueled for the mall I live near, once.

My primary school had a bomb threat 2 years ago  A guy from a high school somewhere else rung our school and said someone planted a bomb in one of the TVs' VCR. The whole school was evacuated to the oval (not comfortable at all in the heat x_x). Because of that stupid threat all school sport was cancelled x_x

Something like this happened at my school Monday. It was just a prank, but a kid called the cops and said there was a bomb. They evacuated the school, and the cops searched it. The kid got in big trouble,it was kinda scary ^_^

That would be scary. But I think it's kind of weird that the teachers just dismissed it. There should have been more action done to stop it or keep you guys safe.

I don't think you guys understand- the school system would NOT allow the students to go back if it was that eminent. They obviously did some kind of search and thought through the whole ordeal. It's not like they said, "oh, there may be a bomb. Yay for bombs, get in there kiddies, we don't care." That's not how it works.

That's true...

But the teachers could have done more to say that the problem has been investigated and that nothing's wrong, b/c the way blue slip said it made it sound like the teachers didnt explain much.

That is true- usually they send out a note explaining what the deal is, etc. They did that for my school last year.

I know, she made if very dramatic. ^_^

Yeah, haha.

Usually my school does the opposite of being calm and relaxed. Theyre all like "OMG!!!! BOMB THREAT!!!! WE ARE ALL GONNA DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TAKE COVER! TAKE COVER!!!!! KISS YOUR BUTT GOOOOOODBYE!!!!!!"

ugh, that reminds me of the time we had a four-hour lockdown for no apparent reason. false alarm, I guess.

Yeah, some people will do really bad things because they didn't get what they wanted, sadly.

[censored for safety] COUNTY, FL -- A 13-year-old faces felony charges of making a false bomb threat.

The student goes to [taken out for my safety] Middle School.

Investigators initially discovered the hoax written inside a text book. The message stated a bomb would go off on Tuesday.

The bomb squad did a sweep of the school early that morning before students and faculty arrived as a precautionary measure.

Authorities didn't find a bomb.

"This is a serious matter," said Sheriff Donald Fleming. "Parents, grandparents and guardians need to talk to their students to help them understand that these actions are not considered pranks and they will come with consequences."

The student is being held at Division of Youth Services in Daytona Beach.
