(So I was on the m!xing website just for fun, and I saw I could mix A Shimagurutchi and a Kotohimetchi. That reminded me of Chéad and Alia, so I m!xed then to see what Caoimhe's sibling could look like. Lo and behold, I GOT CAOIMHE!!! She's my current profile picture. That was too amazing to pass up. Also please tell me if you think the inclusion of my Username is a good idea or not. I'm torn )

Maeve: AWWW!!!

Maire: He takes after his mother so much!

Me: I know!

Ian: Uguwaah?

Maeve: Let me hold you. So cute!

Me: Hopefully we have some variation in his adult form. As much as I liked Diarmuid and Abrinca, we need some diversity from "Kuchipatchi with accessories."

Maire: Fair enough.

Me: Hey, where's Padraig?

Maeve: Oh, he's in his room. He hasn't come out yet.

Me: Really? He's usually up and about by now... I'll go check on him.

*I walk up some stairs to the Tamagotchi's rooms. I find Padraig's*

Me: Hey, Padraig, are you okay?

...

Me: ...Padraig?

...

Me: Padraig, I'm coming in.

*I open the door to see Padraig, pale, lying in bed*

Me: PADRAIG!

*I rush over to him*

Padraig: I don't... feel... great...

Me: MAIRE! MAEVE! COME HELP ME!

*A few seconds later they burst into the room*

Me: I need a wet towel and some water. Cold.

Maeve: Yes ma'am.

Maire: I'm sorry we didn't catch this sooner!

Padraig: Uuugh... Eppie... What's wrong with... me...

Me: Shhh, don't talk. I'll explain later.

*After a few minutes of frantically caring for Padraig, I calmly and somberly sit down*

Maeve: Eppie... What's wrong with Padraig?

Me: I knew this would happen... We have to work quick.

Maire: On what?

Me: Padraig being separated from his toy for this long. The iDL glitched, and I technically should have lost Padraig. It's a miracle he's still with us, but that separation is catching up to us fast.

Maeve: What do we do?

Me: Two options. One is to find some other Tamagotchi toy we can connect Padraig to...

Maeve: Or...?

Me: ...Or stay with him until his final days.

Maire: No!

Maeve: We can't let him die!

Me: I know that! So we have to find him a new shell fast.

Maeve: Well... Can't you do something!

Me: Once I acquire batteries I know exactly what I'm going to do. Until then... I'm so sorry Padraig...

Padraig: It's... fine...

Me: This is my fault. I should have acted sooner and this would never have-

Maeve: Eppie! Stop blaming yourself. Maybe what you say is true, but Padraig is in bad condition. it's time to stop dwelling on the past and focus on the future. The future of Padraig, and the future of Ian.

*Just then, a bright yellow light beams out of Ian*

Me: He's evolving? NOW???

Maire: I...I guess so...

*After a few seconds, a green Haretchi with a Memetchi curl steps down*

Ian: ...Hello everyone.

I felt like this log needs a bit more story and drama. I want to make this like an actual family with struggles. I hope you like that! The point of the log is to make my connection with my tamagotchis personal.

*I walk into Padraig's room.*
Me: Hey, buddy. I'm so sorry about this. Just a few days, I promise.
Padraig: I should hope. Please, help me prop myself up.

Me: Of course.

*I sit him up on the bed.*

Padraig: Much... better... Uugh.

Me: I wonder how the girls are doing with Ian...

Padraig: Ian? Abrinca's kid? Ah, good for her.

Me: Yeah, really...

Padraig: Go take care of him.

Me: But-

Padraig: I'll be fine in here. Just go tend to the kiddo.

Me: ...Alright. I'm so sorry about this.

Padraig: Don't be. Now, go.

*I leave the room*

Me: Uh... girls? Where's Ian?

Maeve: He said he wanted to be alone in his room.

Me: O...kay...

*I walk down the hall to Ian's room and see a flashing white light under his door. The sounds of a blowtorch can be heard inside*

Me: Ian? You okay in there?

Ian: Yes.

Me: ...I'm coming in.

...

*I open the door and see Ian attaching a panel to a platform.*

Me: Uh... what's going on?

Ian: I'm building a U.E.I Unit.

Me: And... that would be?

Ian: *sigh* It's a Universal Evolutionary Induction Unit.

Me: Uh...huh... But you're only a teenager. And you JUST became one. How did you-

Ian: I may be just a teenager but I received genius genetics from my father, Austin. Any predisposition to frivolous activities that aren't purely scientific, especially... ugh, dating, got swept under the rug.

Me: I... see... Most people play video games.

Ian: For anything other than learning coding and programming? Useless.

Me: You're a strange character, Ian.You remind me of... Saoirse...

Ian: Remorse. Another useless emotion.

Me: Hey, you're being kind of rude, you know?

Ian: Well you're interrupting my work. Science isn't for everyone, I guess.

Me: EXCUSE ME? I'll have you know I'm as ASTROPHYSICS major in COLLEGE. I've been studying that for my ENTIRE LIFE. I'm not going to be smarted off to by some teenager who just star-

Ian: Then don't talk to a teenager.

*Ian steps onto the platform*

Ian: Talk to an adult.

*Ian pushes a button, and the base of the platform glows green*

Me: IAN! WHAT ARE YOU DOING? INDUCING EVOLU-

*A bright light streams through the house, the machine begins to rumble, and beeping is heard audibly through every room. Maire and Maeve run in*

Maeve: WHAT'S GOING O-

*Suddenly, the rumbling stops and the lights fade.*

Ian: Hello everyone.

*I turn back around and rub my eyes. Standing on the platform is a Mametchi with a Memetchi curl.

Ian: Test successful. I'm an adult now.

Well that escalated. Science boy, dying old man, and two precious girls. What's next in this household????

Good evening everybody! I'm gonna do a little news and talky bit before I get into the dialogue portion of the log. I realize recently I've been lacking on doing that.

For starters, yes, I FINALLY got around to making a banner for the log. Huzzah! I know it looks awful but I'll polish it later. Make it look real nice. (Also it's clickable. Clicky!!)

I wanted to let you guys in on what's been going on Tamagotchi-wise. Also, i want to start give reviews to the tamagotchis I log. I've seen other logs do it so I figure I should give it a go. Not now, but later on.

The News:

I plan on starting up another Tamagotchi soon. Hopefully it'll be a connection, but those have batteries I can't easily get to and I currently have none. I'll see what I can do.

Maeve and Maire are going to be staying with us for a while. They're part of a challenge on the Tamagotchi Collectors facebook page, to run a Tamagotchi for 3 months without it dying. That's why I hatched them. So they'll be a story staple until at least April 9th.

As for my m!x, it's business as usual. Pictures will be posted every log, pending no photobucket issues (like right now. They're coming, I promise!).

I also have ordered several new tamagotchis. If you've seen my post on the collector's page (Jezebel Eppie Howell) then you know what they are. I won't say it here to leave it a surprise for those who want to keep it like that. I've also ordered a pierce, also a surprise. They should be coming by next month if all goes well.

Just a warning, my classes start again on the 30th, which may cause a few bumps in logging as I get back into the swing of things.

Me: Y-you just...

Ian: Yes, I did.

Me: YOU NEVER TESTED THAT THING BEFORE YOU USED IT ON YOURSELF???

Ian: No. I didn't need to. It was perfect.

Me: YOU COULDN'T HAVE KNOWN THAT. DO YOU KNOW HOW BADLY THAT COULD HAVE HURT YOU?

Ian: Do you?

Me: I... I.. uh... Well, no, but that's not the point! That could've been dangerous!

Ian: It wasn't. I made it. I made sure it was perfect before use.

Me: So much for "scientist!" That was wholly irresponsible. I don't even want you to TOUCH a screwdriver until you at least learn safety!

Ian: Only someone whose science is faulty and faltering needs rigorous testing. Like yours.

Me: EXCUSE ME?

Maeve: Guys, please stop fi-

Me: No, not now Maeve. Ian, you're WAY out of line.

Maire: Guys, reall-

Me: NO! Ian, you need to learn respect. Seriously.

*I storm out of the room. Maeve turns to Maire*

Maeve: Oh dear...

Maire: Ian, we need to talk.

Ian: I'm fine.

Maire: This is non-negotiable. Put down the tools and let's talk.

Ian: *sigh* Fine, what is it.

Maire: Maeve, try to calm Eppie down.

Maeve: Gotcha.

*Maeve runs out of the room*

Maire: Listen, Ian. I get it, you're very engrossed in your work. Mametchi is very smart, and you inherited that.

Ian: Yes, I did.

Maire: But Mametchis are also compassionate! Mametchis love. Your father loved Abrinca. And Abrinca had a lot of love in her too. You come from a long line of people who know about compassion. You need to learn that if you want a successful relationship with the people in this house.

Ian: And why would I want that?

Maire: Why would you... Why WOULDN'T you want that? A life full of love is a life worth living. If you shut yourself off, you'll be missing some of life's best virtues.

Ian: But we clearly don't connect.

Maire: Yes you do. Science.

Ian: Hardly. She doubts my abilities.

Maire: She was looking out for you. She was worried about your safety and well being because she cares. And she loves science like you do. use that as a jumping off point.

Ian: But-

Maire: Ian. Trust me. Do it. Talk to her. Go out and see the world. Don't stop making things in the name of science, but have FUN doing it. Include others.

Ian: Fine... I'll try.

*Ian walks out of the room*

Ian: But I don't guarantee I'll like it!

Maire: ...*sigh* Finally.

*Ian walks downstairs where I'm seated on the couch. I turn when I hearhis footsteps*

Me: Ah, Ian. There you are. No-

Ian: Eppie.

Me: ...Yeeees?

Ian: Do you want to do something together?

*I grin*

Me: I thought you'd never ask.

I just couldn't let this argumentative arc keep going! I aim to befriend all my tamagotchis. That means you too Ian!

Oh my god.

So I already had 3 Tamagotchis coming in the mail.

bUT THAT WASN'T ENOUGH SO I'M GETTING TWO MORE

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

My collection, once this batch is shipped to me, will 16 Tamagotchis and 2 non-Tamagotchi accouterments. I'm also going to add a section at the bottom of the stats, which will be for non-logged Tamagotchis. At some point I'll post a collection photo. In the next few days.

Anyway, ONTO THE LOG!

*I brush the dust off an astronaut's helmet*

Me: Now, this belonged to your grandfather. He wore it all through adulthood.

Ian: Papamametchi?

Me: No. Kuchipatchi. Specifically Diarmuid. He gave it up when he left my care because that's apparently how the m!x works.

Ian: Seems silly.

Me: What?

Ian: That you have to give it up.

Me: Yeah, I guess. In any case, saves me the trouble of buying a new one.

Ian: Fair enough. Is it for me?

Me: Until you leave with a kid.

Ian: Ha, that'll be the day. In any case, it's really neat. Thank you.

Me: Anytime.

Ian: That being said, I'm going to take a trip to outer space. This will help.

*Ian puts on the helmet triumphantly*

Me: I mean, you don't TECHNICALLY need it...

Ian: It fits with the aesthetic.

Me: I didn't think you were interested in things as frivolous as aesthetic.

Ian: Don't patronize me.

*I hope up my hands*

Me: Fine, fine. Have fun. Take money in case you want to eat anything.

Ian: Will do. See you later.

*Ian opens the door*

Ian: Oh, hello Maeve. I was just leaving.

Maeve: Oh. Where to?

Ian: Spacy Land.

Maeve: Ah. Tell me how it goes when you get back! Nice helmet by the way.

Ian: Sure. And thank you.

*Ian leaves and Maeve walks in*

Maeve: Hey Eppie.

*I turn around*

Me: Hey Maeve, how was work?

Maeve: I had to do a bit of overtime at Tamamori. Oh, but Maire is going to be SWAMPED.

Me: Oh no, what happened?

Maeve: Not sure what happened in her department. Some kind of accident.

Me: Is she alright?

Maeve: Nobody was hurt. A bunch of stuff fell. I think. Anyway, she's gonna be late.

Me: Well, alright. I'll give her a call around lunchtime and see if she needs anything.

*Maeve sits down*

Maeve: So.

Me: So?

Maeve: How are things with Ian?

Me: Great! We've bonded over a common love of science. I think.

Maeve: You think?

Me: Hard to get a read on if Ian likes me or is indifferent. He's not exactly predisposed to "quality family time"

Maeve: Ha, I get that. As long as you're making friends.

Me: We are. And yeah, that's the whole reason I agree to take you guys in and run your toys.

Maeve: Can't get any human friends?

Me Well, yes, I can. But I used to not.

Maeve: What do you mean?

Me: ...You want the sob story?

Maeve: Yes.

Me: Well... okay. In elementary school, I was the weird kid. I didn't have friends. Nobody liked me. I was lonely. Even the people who said I was their friend would willingly turn their back on me for anyone else. Then... I found Tamagotchis. I discovered my first real friends. They wouldn't turn against me like those other people would. I kept Tamagotchis alive so I could have someone to latch onto. To talk to. To relieve stress with. That's why I run them to this day. Tamagotchis are my friends. And yeah, now I have real friends, but real friends come and real friends go. Tamagotchis don't ever have to leave my side.

Maeve: Eppie...

Me: Ah, no... I didn't mean to make you cry...

Maeve: It's fine.

Me: I'm so-

Maeve: It's fine. Eppie, that was so sweet. You know we all love you.

Me: ...

Maeve: Even Ian. I know he does.

Me: ...Thank you...

Hey everyone. Unexpected update time. I've come to bear some bad news.

Maire has died.

It's really tugging at my heartstrings right now. I've been trying so hard to keep them alive and well. And I don't know how she died, either. I sent her to work with full happy and hungry, and she spent about half an hour longer there than expected. When she came back I filled up her hungry all the way and her happy halfway (But she had 4 puzzle pieces, so it was half the circle). I went out for an hour long walk and when I came back she was dead. But Maeve, who was in a nearly identical condition, was perfectly fine.

I will be working her death into the little narrative I seem to be making, but make no mistake I'm not killing off my tamagotchis for the sake of the narrative.

If you're wondering why I'm keeping Padraig around but not Maire, it's because Padraig's toy glitched and lost his data without my control. Maire died of (what I can only assume to be) neglect.

I'll be back later with a regular update. I just wanted to fill you guys in.

*sigh*, this shouldn't really be affecting me like it is.

Hey everyone. This is the post where unfortunately Maire dies. *sigh*

Me: Hmm...

Maeve: What?

Me: It's getting late. Maire isn't here...

Maeve: That's true... She was working at Tamamori.

Me: Should we go and check things out?

Maeve: Sure.

*Maeve and I make our way to the Tamamori shop. Ambulances are parked outside with their sirens on. Firefighters and paramedics rush into the store.*

Me: Oh my god.

Maeve: Eppie, let's go!

*We run up. A Safetytchi stands in front of us*

Safetytchi: Get back! It's not safe!

Me: BUT MAIRE IS IN THERE!

Maeve: WE NEED TO GET MY SISTER!

Safetytchi: I'm sorry but you two have to stay back!

*Suddenly, a Kiraritchi is brought out from the store on a stretcher.*

Me: MAIRE!

Maeve: GET OUT OF MY WAY!

*We push past the Safetytchi and run toward Maire. She isn't moving*

Safetytchi: Hey! Get back here!

*We reach the stretcher.*

Me: Maire! MAIRE!

-LATER-

Me: Yes, sir...

Doctor: And she lived here?

Me: Yes...

Doctor: Thank you. And... I'm so sorry for your loss. Words can't describe what it feels like to lose family.

Me: ...

Maeve: Thank you for all your help, doctor.

Doctor: I'll take my leave. We'll discuss more later.

*The doctor closes the door*

Me: These hallways feel so empty without Maire.

*A cough is heard upstairs*

Me: But if I can prevent another death then I will.

*I grab my Tamagotchi v4 and run upstairs to Padraig's room, Maeve following closely behind*

Maeve: Eppie, what are you doing?

*I burst into Padraig's room*

Me: Padraig, I'm saving your life. It can't wait any more. We already lost Maire...

Maeve: Are you sure this will work?

Me: ...No. But I'm not ready to sit idly by and watch another one of my friends die.

Padraig: ...What are you going to do?

Me: I'm going to change what toy you're associated with.

Padraig: What do you mean?

Maeve: Eppie...

Me: The reason you're sick is because when the iDL glitched you weren't taken with it. You were delinked from your toy. I'm going to try and relink you to another toy, this v4. It's a downgrade, but if it means keeping you alive it's all we've got.

Padraig: And what will happen to me?

Me: All of your memories will remain intact... but...

Padraig: But?

Me: But any data on your character and growth will be wiped. You'll start over as a baby with the mentality you have now. You'll restart as a Generation 1 baby on a v4.

Padraig: Will I still be me?

Me: Yes.

Padraig: ...Okay.

Maeve: What? How can you just say okay? We don't know if this will work! This is crazy!

Me: No, it isn't. Ian is a genius. I asked him to develop something. Maeve, help me get Padraig into Ian's room.

Maeve: But-

Me: MAEVE PLEASE!

*Maeve and I heft Padraig into Ian's room. We set him down on a platform. I put the v4 in the slot Ian told me to*

Maeve: Let's hope this works.

Me: Yes.

*I pull a lever. A chamber closes around Padraig. Lights flash and the machine makes distinct whirring sounds*

Maeve: Aagh, my eyes...

Me: Yeah, it's... bright...

*After a few seconds the lights stop. The chamber opens and reveals a Tamagotchi egg. The v4 slides out of the compartment, showing stats for "PDRIG"*

Me: It can't fit Padraig, I guess...

Maeve: So... that's him?

Me: Yes. effectively reset back to being a baby. But, him nonetheless.

*I pick up the egg and slide the toy into my pocket*

Me: Let's get him downstairs.

*I carry the egg downstairs, Maeve walking ahead of me.*

Maeve: WHAT???

Me: MAEVE? WHAT HAPPENED?

*I carefully rush downstairs and see an egg on the couch next to the P's*

Maeve: Did you...?

Me: N...no! I didn't start a new one...

Maeve: Well... WELL SOMEBODY DID!

Me: I DON'T KNOW!

*I put down Padraig's egg and examine the one on the couch.*

Me: Someone's made a new egg...

Maeve: Is it reset?

Me: No, the toy still registers Maire's puzzle pieces. This is just... A new generation cycle...

Maeve: Well who...

Me: ...I don't know. But it doesn't matter. It's ours, and we have a responsibility to it.

*I set both eggs down on the couch*

Me: I have responsibility over four Tamagotchis now...

Maeve: It's okay. You can do this.

*Maeve grabs my arm*

Maeve: We can do this.

*The eggs begin to glow softly*

Me: Here we go again...

*Maeve squeezes my arm. The first Tamagotchi to emerge is Padraig.*

Me: Hey buddy, how do you feel?

Padraig: Ugug... Uwa? Gahhagu???

Me: Ah... right... Your vocal chords haven't developed yet. Uh... Just... cry when you need something for the next day.

Maeve: Good. I hope she likes the clapboard. It's got a lot of memories.

Me: Yeah...

Maeve: Ehehe, you're adorable. And Padraig! Mizutamatchi. Not bad.

Padraig: Ang u.

Maeve: Huh. That was ALMOST "thank you."

Me: Padraig has ben training his vocal chords. It almost sounds like english. They should evolve today, so he'll be able to formally speak then.

Maeve: Why are you still feeding him?

Me: Mizutamatchi. He lacks arms.

*Aednat starts chewing on a block*

*I walk back to my house with Aednat and the blocks in tow. I walk in the door a few moments later and see Maeve and Padraig with Mr. Canvas*

I want to pose a question to everyone. Respond however you see fit.

I want to gauge my style of logging. Since the beginning I've had a dialogue style for logging, but recently (In my last couple of posts) it's become much more story oriented.

For all my previous logs, including the beginning of this one, each post would be self-contained. Meaning each post would be separate from the rest, connected only by the characters. Each post would feature me and my tamagotchis doing something funny or acting something out, frequently breaking the fourth wall and acknowledging they were being logged. Now it's evolved into a story that spans many posts, and the characters aren't helping me to write the log, it's moreso like a fly-on-the-wall looking in type of thing.

At one point those were separate, and my now defunct and abandoned Tumblr Log was a story, and this Tamatalk log was my short segment fourth-wall-breaking type of log.

Now, I don't know which would work. That's where you guys come in. As readers of this log, please tell me which style of logging you think is best. Story format, or segment format? Both can be seen here (story in the last few posts, and segment in all my other posts on this log and all previous logs) as well as my full story log on Tumblr (link in signature)

I read this log quite often (whenever you post) and have enjoyed it either way. The story format thing is cool and I feel you dig deeper into your tama's emotions when you do that. The segment format is also cool and I think I prefer that one. It will be easier for new readers especially, they can check in and not have to scroll back to figure out what's going on. In the segment way anybody can jump right in and have fun. I think with the segment format you're also able to have little inside jokes and remember past adventures, but there is always a new one too.

Aww, I loved CNT! Her log was great. Yeah, I noticed myself slipping into a story format because I thought the log was getting a bit dull (segment logs could only take you so far, in my opinion.)

I really want to continue the story format because I feel like it gives me a more personal connection to my Tamas, which is why I log them in the first place. On the other hand, segment logging, as you said, is better for the reader...

I'm hesitant to restart my Tumblr log just for the sake of story logging (Because I shut it down in September and it hasn't been that long), but uuugh conflict

So I think i've come to a decision as to the fate of this log.

I'm going to keep doing a story format log; for a couple of reasons.

1) I like it better. Simply put, I enjoy doing a story more. I want to bond with my tamagotchis, and this is the best way to do it.

2) I think I'm good at it. I've been writing all my life. And I've been writing STORIES. I think I'm pretty good.

3) Tamatalk is saturated with segmented style logs. The most common log type is barebones stats, but the second is definitely segmented dialogue.

And while I realize my readers (ahem reader) said segmented was better because people could jump right in and not have to start over, I think anyone reading a log is going to start over from the beginning, especially one featuring a m!x (a tamagotchi so reliant of previous lineage)

That all being said, I'm still wholly open to criticism, so long as it's constructive, and I'm more than willing to talk with readers of this log.

Anyway... ON WITH THE LOG!!!

Me: YAWN, good morning everyone...

Maeve: EPPIE! It is 12 PM! You almost missed the evolution!

Me: Oh? Who's on the agenda for today?

Maeve: Siobhan.

Me: Ah, okay. Hey, what about the kid?

Aednat: Ugwa?

Maeve: She'll evolve around 3.

Me: Gotcha. Can't wait to see the teen stage. How was work?

Maeve: Pretty good. Caught a criminal.

Me: Criminal?

Maeve: Well... a Nazotchi littered.

Me: So you yelled at a guy.

Maeve: ...Don't patronize me.

*I put my hands up*

Me: Go-me-na-sai.

Maeve: And don't patronize me in Japanese either.

*Siobhan hugs Maeve*

Siobhan: Is it gonna hurt?

Maeve: Siobhan, you've evolved twice before. You KNOW it doesn't hurt?

Siobhan: ...Okay big sis...

Me: Oh? Big sis?

Maeve: Yeah, she's taken to calling me her big sister.

Me: And that isn't...

Maeve: No. It doesn't make me sad at all. it gives me hope that Maire lives on in Siobhan.

Me: I see. But there's no chance of her evolving into Kiraritchi...

Maeve: No, but...

Siobhan: I wanna be a Kiramotchi!

Me: I see. Well, I wish you luck, Siobhan.

*I pinch her cheek and she smiles. Suddenly, she glows white*

Me: Oh!

Maeve: Ooh, good luck Siobhan!

*I grab my camera and aim it at Siobhan*

*SNAP*

Me: Awww, it really is a Kiramotchi!

Siobhan: I REALLY AM YOUR LITTLE SISTER NOW!

*Siobhan leaps into Maeve's arms*

Maeve: Wh-OAH! You're heavy now, Siobhan!

*Siobhan grins and buries her face in Maeve*

Maeve: Hey, Siobhan...

*Siobhan perks her head up*

Siobhan: What?

Maeve: Wanna go cook something? Let's make lunch for everyone!

Siobhan: YEAH!!!

*They run into the kitchen*

*SNAP*

Me: Aww, how cute.

Maeve: No peeking! Lunch is a surprise!

Me: Okay, okay

Padraig: When am I gonna evolve?

Me: Tomorrow, I'm pretty sure. I've forgotten how long v4 evolution times are.

Padraig: Ah, alright. I can't wait.

Me: Me neither. Now, everyone, let's kill some time while we wait for Aednat.

-Later, after an incredibly interesting sequence of events-

*Aednat begins to glow. I look up.*

Me: Ah, there we go. Gather around everyone!

*Everyone groups around Aednat*

Me: You go girl...

*After a few moments she stops glowing.*

*SNAP*

Me: AWWW! LOOK AT YOUR SHIRT!!!

Maeve: What about it?

Me: It's got Himespetchi's ADORABLE star!

Maeve: Awww...

Padraig: Man, that curl is persistent.

Aednat: *ahem* Hello... uh... everyone. Nice to meet you?

Me: Hello, Aednat.

Maeve: Aednat, what's your opinion on science?

Aednat: I like it. It seems fun.

Maeve: Mmhmm. And... do you like love?

Aednat: I'm... uh... not opposed to it. I guess. Why do you ask?

Me: Yeah, why?

Maeve: I'm judging to see if she'll be an emotional trainwreck like Ian.

*I start laughing uncontrollably*

Aednat: Is... she okay?

Me: AHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHA

Maeve: Yeah, she'll be fine.

*Maeve stifles her laugh*

Maeve: Now, come on Eppie. We've got lunch to eat!

*Maeve and Siobhan cats out a bunch of food*

Me: Wow. This is a lot. Thank you guys.

Maeve: No trouble whatsoever.

*We eat lunch and have a conversation about politics or whatever. We finish lunch and i get up.

Me: Everyone, I have an announcement to make.

Maeve: Yes?

Siobhan: Yeah?

Aednat: What is it?

Padraig: Sup?

Me: Well, As you all know I have planned for a while to add two new members to our family. One is the v4.5, in response to the group hatch on the 28th.

Everyone: Yeah...?

Me: And the other was a surprise, coming in the mail.

Maeve: What are you getting at? It's supposed to come in a week or so.

Me: Well, that's just it. It's here now.

Maeve: WHAT?

Aednat: New friend??

Padraig: Really?

Me: Yup!

*I hold up a Tama-Go triumphantly*

Me: And I'm going to start it now!

Maeve: Whoah, really? Can you handle five at once?

Me: I may deactivate a Tamagotchi at some point. But I want to share the love.

Maeve: Well, don't go overboard.

Me: Yeah, too late.

*I start up the Tama go*

Me: And now we wait...

*An egg appears on the sofa. After a few moments it springs to life and hatches*

Me: Wow...

*SNAP*

Maeve: A Nokotchi! It's a girl!

Siobhan: Waaah, this is all happening very faaaaast!

*Siobhan falls over, fake-fainting. Everyone laughs. The baby cries*

Me: Awww, hold on. Let me help you...

Padraig: Well, don't keep us waiting! What's her name?

Aednat: I can't believe I got a little sister that quickly.

Me: Hmmm... Your name will be... Grainne.

Grainne: Graw yuh?

Me: Ehehe, yeah! That's right! Grainne.

Maeve: I think Grainne is a beautiful name.

Me: Now we have to wait and see who this baby will become...

*Grainne and Maeve are walking down the steps. I'm asleep on the couch*

Maeve: *sigh* She's hopeless.

Grainne: Eheheh.

*Maeve bumps me awake*

Me: Uhhh... whuzzat?

Maeve: Eppie, you need to look at Grainne.

*I turn me head to see a Bellitchi looking back.*

Me: Awwww! How adorable.

Maeve: I know, right? Any idea who she'll become?

Me: Well, I would guess Shellitchi. I'm taking excellent care of her.

Maeve: True.

*Aednat walks downstairs*

Aednat: YAWN, good morning eve-

*Aednat begins to glow*

Maeve: WHAT?

Me: So soon!

Maeve: Well, I guess she didn't evolve yesterday, so this makes se- WAIT NO!

*Grainne breaks free of her grip and runs toward Aednat*

Me: AAH! GRAB HER!

*Grainne bumps into Aednat and begins to glow*

Me: Wait... what?

*I grab my camera*

Maeve: PICTURES??? REALLY?

*Aednat stops glowing. A Himespetchi looks up with Mametchi's eyes.*

Aednat: Uugh... what happened?

*SNAP*

Aednat: Huh? OH! I evolved?

Me: Yes, evidently. You look... a lot like your mother.

Maeve: EPPIE!

*I look back over at a still glowing Grainne*

Me: Oh, right.

Aednat: W-what happened?

Me: Well... she bumped into you while you were evolving. I think that may have induced an early evolution...

Maeve: Well... is she safe?

Me: ...We'll have to see...

*Grainne stops glowing after a few tense seconds. A Shellitchi looks up*

Grainne: Uugh...

*SNAP*

Grainne: What happened?

Maeve: Darling, you thought Aednat's evolution was her playing. You bumped into her and, well, early evolution.

Grainne: Are... are there any adverse health effects?

Maeve: I don't know... This is the first time I've ever seen that happen...

Me: Me too... I don't think there are, but I can go ask Ian later.

Aednat: Oh! Can I go with you? I want to see my parents again and show them my adult form.

Me: Sure thing. We'll go in a bi-

*A glow is seen upstairs*

Maeve: Wait? What? Padraig?

Me: ARE YOU KIDDING ME? WHA-

*Maeve drags me upstairs*

Me: - SO SOON TOGETHER? LI-

Maeve: Eppie! Hush!

Me: Oi! Don't tell me t-

Maeve: Shhh!

*Maeve, Grainne, Aednat and I all stand huddled around Padraig's door. The glow subsides. The door unlocks and a Shimashimatchi steps out*

Padraig: Hello eve-

*SNAP*

Padraig: AAGH! EYES!

Me: Ah, sorry. Left the flash on.

Padraig: R E A L L Y????

Me: Sorry~

*Padraig rubs his eyes*

Padraig: Whoah... has everyone evolved?

Me: It would seem.

Padraig: Jeez.

Aednat: Eppie?

Me: Yes, we can go now.

*I take Aednat and walk to Ian's house*

Aednat: So... What was my dad like?

Me: He was... distant.

Aednat: ...distant how?

Me: He was so absorbed in his work he sometimes forgot to make time for the people he loved. And for the people who loved him.

Aednat: ...Was he a good person?

Me: I think so, yes.

*We arrive at Ian's house. I knock on the door*

Ian: Hello?

Me: Hello, Ian.

Ian: Eppie. And... Aednat...

Aednat: ...Hello.

Ian: Iona! Come here!

Iona: What is i- AEDNAT!

*The Himespetchi runs towars Aednat and hugs her*

Ian: You seem to have acquired most of your looks from Iona...

Me: She has your eyes.

Ian: Was that a half-attempt at conversation?

Me: No, she literally has your eyes.

Ian: ...So she does.

*After introduction, we are all sitting around the table*

Me: So... One of my tamagotchis, Grainne, touched Aednat while she was evolving. This apparently induced an evolution in her.

Ian: Mmhmm...

Me: Will this have any adverse health effects?

Ian: I don't think so. But I'd love to meet her to inspect it.

Me: I'll talk to her about it tomorrow.

Ian: That's fine. What's her toy?

Me: Tama-Go.

Ian: Okay. Gotcha.

Me: Anyway...

*I stand up*

Me: I should take my leave. thanks for seeing us.

Me: And you didn't?

Siobhan: I shadowed her at her job, but we finished while you were at Ian's.

Me: Oh, okay.

Siobhan: Oh, Eppie, you told me to remind you when it was the 28th.

Me: Huh? OH! My v4.5!

Siobhan: Wait, are you starting a NEW Tamagotchi?

Me: Yes, for a group hatch.

Siobhan: ANOTHER?

Me: Yes.

Siobhan: Isn't school starting for you on monday? You're gonna die of stress!

Me: I'll deal.

*I grab my v4.5 and start it up. An egg appears on the couch.*

Siobhan: You're gonna regret this you know.

Me: Yup.

Grainne: Whoah... A little sibling...

*The egg hatches*

Me: Yeah, and I'm starting to run out. Oh well, I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

Me: Ah, right. Baby stages. Aren't they... wonderful...

*SNAP*

Siobhan: Good luck, Eppie. Now if you'll excuse me...

*Siobhan puts on a crown*

*A puzzle piece appears in front of Siobhan*

Me: Whooooah. Nice one!

*A glow appears behind us*

Me: Huh?

Siobhan: She's... evolving?

Me: That was... fast.

Siobhan: A staple of this household seems to be... numerous evolutions.

I'm going to be out of the logging loop for a bit. I've come down with a sickness, and school just started.

All my Tamagotchis except Ailis and Maeve will be paused for the time being.

As soon as I'm used to school and I get over this sickness, which is literally making life hell, I'll be back to logging.

I'll just update you in-text to what's going on evolution-wise with Ailis.

So far she's evolved into Ura young Yattatchi, and she's set to evolve tomorrow. I'll try to snap a photo.

Hi everyone! I'm still in recovery, but I'm aiming to begin logging again tomorrow. I found a way to write in my log during boring classes, so that's definitely a plus.

In any case, Maeve is still alive and Ailis is a 5-year-old Ura Yattatchi.

My being sick has really thrown off my logging, so just pretend like there was a time-skip of a couple days between my last log post and the next one. Ailis should be married and with a kid by then anyway.

Also, good news. my Tamagotchi Nano has come much earlier than expected! Since that is so low-maintenance and simple I'll be logging it as soon as I can. i will be adding into the story a method by which I can deactivate a tamagotchi for a while. It'll be a deus ex machina plot protection.

Anyway, that's it for me until tomorrow.
