I thought those flocked versions were so random for them to release. Would have loved a glow-in-the-dark shell instead.

In other news my test run has produced a Maskutchi 😍

Wanna participate but I tried to take my mini apart and busted it 😭😭😭

hope I can fix it

I have the red flocked 20th anniversary edition. I removed the flocking though, it was getting dirty all the time
Oooh, I wonder what exactly got busted, I might know how to fix it; feel free to share pics!

I wanted one of the flocked ones sooooo bad but never found one locally. Then I learned how nasty they had a tendency to get and PHEW, I dodged that hassle. How's it look post-flocking removal?

@Maskutchi ooooh I'd LOVE a glow version! Now I'm tempted to send mine off to be sacrificed to one of the resin gods. And LOL, got your namesake!

Yessssss do itttttt!
After making that post, I did go on eBay and order one! :ROFLMAO: It's a 20th anniversary series 4. Are there differences between the different series of the re-releases, or just the shell designs?

I would've liked to get an original one from the earlier 2000s, as I like older Tamas, but there were fewer of those on eBay and they cost a bit more. Considering how many virtual pets I've bought lately, I had to exercise some small iota of willpower and go with a cheaper option, lol. Maybe someday I'll also get an older mini.

As someone who owns both an anniversary and an OG mini, you lucked out with the anniversary. They're the "same" but between my two, it's harder to see the screen of the older one. It's just darker overall.

That said, the older one I have has a wildly longer battery life than the newer one.

If you want to buy a battery ahead of time, they take CR2032s, and if you're stateside, the Dollar Tree carries them. 👍

Yall are tempting me to buy a new mini! I only have themed ones and have been wanting a classic one haha. And as said before they are pretty cheap on amazon!

Themed ones? I will note the minis don't have the games, they're not full on gen 1 or gen 2. Pretty simple, just food, snacks, and a much shorter evolution timeline(24hrs).
I think it'll be a bit of a fun "competition" seeing who can get the best and worst characters and see who can keep their pets alive the longest.
I tend to get Nyorotchi with mine, so I don't anticipate getting anywhere near the best character.

I'm going to guess that there's been a mix-up of Minis and Nanos, here. ;))

Anyway, I'm afraid that I won't be able to take part in this one, so I'll bow out here, but I will be reading it when it takes place - have fun, guys!

Yes Thats exactly what I did lol! I thought Nano was just Japanese minis. But your right the nano have games so def not the same thing. (Is the chibi the mini?)
Looks like I'll have to stalk ebay for a bit and see if I find something.
