Accutane isn't really the big scary monster it's made out to be. Granted there CAN be side effects, some severe but what medicine doesn't? The common aspirin found in your house has been known to cause brain hemorrhaging and ulcers. I was on Accutane last year for 6 months last year and honestly my skin hasn't looked better! I had frequent doctors visits and monthly blood tests to be sure It wasn't having any major affects on my body. My medicine was controlled and bought from a pharmacy with my doctors permission.
A part of the issue is people illegally attaining Accutane, or any medication to be honest. They'll get it off the internet with no concern as to the level of dosage or monitoring.
