I don't really know if this is an appropriate topic. Lots of flaming happens in these kinds of topics and if you say you don't like emos or think they're wierd and whatnot you could hurt someone's feelings.

Well, I just dont get why everyone thinks its cool nowadays. (Including me)

Eh. . . they're. . . okay I guess. I'm not stereotypical, so. But my friend Haleigh is sooo stereotypical about it. It gets really annoying after two seconds.

I'm kinda emo.
I'm 'emo' as far as personality-wise..

Atleast that's what I'm named at school. That-one-emo-girl-over-there.

If somebody's emo, I say let them be who they want to be. You can't really change people completely.

I'm emo also because of my personality too and I like wearing shirts with skulls on them...

At my school my name is emo kid.. even my cousins call me that..

People think being emo is bad, but its not its a life style and thats what people wanna be so what..

It isn't bad, it's just how someone chooses to live their life. It's their personality, and you can't change it. As long as they're not hurting anyone, it's fine. However I would never choose to be emo myself.

P.S. Like I said in my first post, please keep the discussions mature and polite.

Labels, I'm sick of them. I'm think I'm going to explode.

Just so you know, emo is short for emotinal. It doesn't mean dressing in black, wearing skull clothing, etc.

I Haver Nothing Against Emo

People Call Me Emo In My Class For Wearing Alot Of Black Clothing

It Ticks Me Off

I'm against squishing people into one catagory and then hating them on how the general population of them dress.

That's just limiting your friends as far as I'm concerned.

I think they have great taste in style, I love their designs, they absolutely rock.

You can't judge somebody on what they go by.

..Well make a conclusion.

Also you will setence to many tamatalkers repeating themselves like broken records, on labels, and blah blah.

Annoying, huh? :p

Wow, I'm to lazy to write a big reply, cause I've done it so many times before.

Anyways, I do agree steriotyping limits your friends. It's good to be the kind of person that is friends with all "cliches" and that's what I'm trying to do in middle/high schol.

I don't see the point in labeling. After all 20-30 years down the road who's really going to care? Other than that I have nothing against them. They're just being themselves and that's ok.^^

well thats what i'm called and i'm the only one at school.and i'll be honest i don't get sad real easy but i do get ticked real quick.i don't like noise and bright colors.i've yelled at my teacher best friend and my coach.and they still call me emo.or goth or punk.

You're probably not the only one.Others are just hiding it or something.I don't really bother with labels though so there's not much I can say.I'm kind of a "I'm human" when it comes to labels and such so I'm kind of an outsider (along with a few friends). It's best just to ignore the label rather than worry about it.

I've never actually met a rela one, but me and my friend joke around saying "we're so emo"

My mom always calls me "emo". They think its a joke. I myself don't think I am emo, I think I am more skater/punk. :p
