...okay you've determined that they are healthiest at minimum weight. What does it mean for a tamagotchi to be healthy? Does that mean that if it is kept at minimum weight that it will live longer?

My mothra tama died a while ago and I haven't restarted it in about a week. Now there is some funky japanese on the screen where the cross was before and it won't reset or rehatch with the A and C buttons. I even tried taking the battery out and putting it back in. What gives?!

i mean... if you were old enough to have even known how to use one of the original tamagotchis, you would appreciate more the simple, no frills, clean design of the models that started it all. Clearly bandai is trying to make the tamagotchi into a cell phone like device, to appeal to children...
