I think I've had 4 or 5 Tamagotchis evolve into adulthood on my V4.5. And each and everyone evolved on the day they turned 3. (On my V3 it's usually on the day they turn 4...)

I've gotten Tamatchi twice on my V4.5 Tamagotchi by ironically taking very bad care of it. Don't play any games with it, feed it lots of food, put your Tamagotchi in time out for no reason, etc... I think Tamatchi is considered an "Unhealthy" character on the V4.5 Tamagotchi.

Wow, you must have been a baby or living under a rock in the late 1990's if you don't know what Tamagotchis are.

I have another question... Is it better to wait until a heart drops in the "Hungry" category to feed your Tamagotchi, or is it better to feed it whenever it will take food (Meaning even if all four hearts are still full)?

I had the same problem when I tried to connect my V3 with my V4.5. I just simply forgot to press the middle (B ) button after it says "Stand By." After you press the middle (B ) button, the screen will change to say "Connect" and then the Tamagotchis do the rest on their own.
