I posted about this issue right after I bought my V5 in Jan. For some reason on the V5 and V5 Celebrity the pixels are dark and show up on the screen (as opposed to the V1-V4.5 pixels that are "clear"). The contrast doesn't do much to help the problem, so it's something you'll just have to get...

To all the people calling it V5.5, it's NOT V5.5. As the subject of this thread states, it's a Tamagotchi V5 Refresh. If you buy one in the store the package still says V5. And just for any curious cats out there, I bought mine today at the Target store in Antioch, CA.

So I mated my adult Kuchipatchi with a Yonepatchi in hopes of getting a pure family. However, although both adults turned into Papatchi and Mamapatchi, my children are still blended! All my tamas are asleep by ten, the earliest going to bed at 8. For a while I was waking up around 11 or 12 in the morning, and they'd still be alive. So including their sleep time, that's an average of 16 hours without care. Of course by that time their happy and hungry hearts are all empty...

The toy one is just that -- a toy. Your tama will play with it much like a remote control plane or car. :-)

One time my tamagotchi wouldn't hatch, but then I realized it didn't hatch because I hadn't entered the time, date, or name for it. It won't hatch unless those things are set.
