God created everyone equally - singling people out as punishment or to prove a point wouldn't be fair or make sense. Being gay is difficult enough without having God against you. I'm pretty sure God doesn't care how people serve him, so long as they're not jerks at the end of the day.

It isn't. My step-dad lived in the States for 20+ years, bur because he chose to not become a citizen, he was considered a 'Resident Alien'. He had an alien identification card and everything.
