welcome here! I got an angelgotchi too, actually; I found it really cheap off ebay, and I think it's a very good choice!! People find me too old for tamagotchis too, but I just think they're wrong :D welcome anyways!

Tamagotchis actually don't wake up to evole ;) They won't evolve in sleep, but if they've grown to the time limit on wich they should evolve, first thing they do when they wake is to evolve. If the tama goes back to sleep afterwards, it's beccause the new character has a later wake-up time. :)

They also wear different costumes, as you might have noticed, like, seberitchi wears a round mexican-hat and scarf, so they're sometimes hard to recognise ;)

That happened to me too, when I used v5. I always thought it fuuny, with just a random beep appearing at weird times :P I don't use my v5 almost at all now, since every generation always ended up resetted in a glitch tradgedy, I got so sad every time so I actually don't dare use it...
