what are the item passwords on V6 I didnt know I had them until now? and where do I get more?

I was wondering when you go to the website and the items you get for your apartment do they even work or are they there for decoration? I got a chocolate maker right now and I wonder if it really works or is it like a sticker in my apartment

ok i jsut got the v5 and there are sometimes these pictures like theres one that looks like they are taking a shower and another one that looks like a fridge i think and another one that either looks like stairs or a window i have no clue but i just want to know that they mean
