Yay! This is SOOO helpful! I bookmarked it so I can find it when I start up my entama this summer. The guts points things are the best, I don't have to use an item over and over raising it only 1 each time!

This is Great! Becuase you can just. make up a Number and It usually works!

Try these and post them please!

5211 - Hotdog!!

5215 - ???

5216 - ???

What I want to know is, why can't one plug in random log in numbers??
I am sorry, I didn't understand your question properly when I first attempted to answered it.

Entering 14 random digits as a login password for e-tamago does not work because the checksum would be wrong (90% chance). Even if you had the checksum correct (10% chance), e-tamago would probably reject the login password because the other digits don't fit the patterns properly.

Each e-tamago (Japanese TamaTown) login password generated by an EnTama (Japanese Tamagotchi) contains several pieces of information.

Of the 14 digits:

2 digits identify the character species. This is the character you see on-screen. There are 51 valid numbers.

2 digits identify the parent species. You can see this when you visit the parent's house. There are 52 valid numbers.

2 digits identify the news headline. You can see this when you visit TamaTower. Valid numbers are 01 - 24.

2 digits identify the occupation. You can see this when you visit the business card maker in the Game Center. Valid numbers are 01 - 28.

2 digits identify the destination. This is TamaTown vs a TamaTour locale. For TamaTown destinations, the character's development level is also included in these 2 digits.

2 digits are for the session ID. These seem to be random, and are regenerated for each new login password.

1 digit indicates which of five sequences is used to encode the data.

1 digit is the checksum. This is a simple checksum of all other digits, modulus 10.

Ah ingenious! Both You and Bandai. It was bugging me how plugging in these numbers actually translated all the information from toy to web, and web to toy. Thank you

Now I know....

I always have to do it like... on the topic. I can't do it on paper or else I mess up, and I need the instructions right here. Oh gosh... i'd better not be using up too much bandwidth................

Maybe you could try printing the codes off? That's what I did, printed off the steps in Arial Unicode MS size 10 (lol), and put the passwords on a table. 2 pages. Now I play wth my entama at bedtime, trying to get more and more.

Regarding the checksum, I soemtimes do it to practice mathematics, but if I don't feel like thinking, I simply go through all the numbers, that can be more useful in some cases.

When you're adding up the checksum, you can cross off combinations of numbers that add up to 10.

For example:

Starting with all 14 digits which we need to add together to get the checksum

0+0+4+5+1+8+2+2+0+0+4+3+5+2=S

After dropping out the zeros we are left with

4+5+1+8+2+2+4+3+5+2=S

Then we can drop out the first three digits (4 and 5 and 1) because they add up to 10, so we now have

8+2+2+4+3+5+2=S

We can then drop out the 8 and a 2 because they add up to 10, so we are now left with

2+4+3+5+2=S

Finally, we can drop out the 3 and 5 and one of the 2's because they add up to 10 also, so we are left with a rather simple

4+2=S

Now there's less chance of making a mistake.

Hmm... my tama's been a Mimitchi for a few days now... 8 years old. Can I use it??

My Entama just came and I used this and I got the CA4LA hat and drums.. Thanks so much binary!!

h99 :(

Dp you have to be able to read Japanese to have an en-tama?

How Do You Use The Items You Bye?
Foods, snacks, and cooking ingredients will be in the meal menu (top row, second from the left).

All others, such as Toys, GUTS-up items, medicines, travel-related goods, and matchmaker calling cards, will be in the treasure chest menu (bottom row, middle icon).

Hey, I have a question. You know the Call Dating Card, do you get the secret HatenaZoku next Generation when used??
