Nope, not as far as I know. You can set the date up once you have a baby on the screen to make the parent leave faster but you have to wait the whole time to get an adult.

There is no way to evolve your tama faster...you just have to wait it out. Even setting the date up doesn't work. Your tama has a timer in it that lets it know when it has really been born and it usually evolves within 72 hours.

I've had mine for 3 generations and it's still going strong. I would just use it as often as you want to...I do and, as I sad, it's still around.
